Bittersweet-Orange

Available after September 11th. This is our signature crop and there is not a larger grower of this plant anywhere in the world, or at least no one has yet challenged our assertion. We do an outstanding job with this. The fields are all trellised and the plants well maintained. We start to cut this in very late August once the fruit is ripe enough to pop open the berry hulls. There will be some foliage on the stems that can be pulled or shaken off. The early cuttings will have a lot more foliage than those in late September. Due to the invasive nature of this plant we are restricted from selling this in the following states: CT, MA, NC, NH, MN and WI. We have however aggressively planted an improved variety of our local native Bittersweet that we should have within a couple years.
